Destination Imagination (DI)

Steven has been in a club this year at school - it's called DI, for Destination Imagination. He actually had to try out for this - there were auditions, and my bright son made it! He stayed after school one day a week for a while now and as the competition got closer he stayed everyday after school (with the team) to practice on their play. Steven was the police man! HAA, he did a great job. His friend Alex also was on the team - he was the dog. We got to watch Steven and his team last Saturday - they placed 6th place and we were so proud. Go Steven, after we took the kids to saltgrass to enjoy some delicious dinner!!

Lunch with Steven

Adelyn and I went to have lunch with Steven this week - that made his day. Adelyn didn't complain either! Steven has such a pretty school, brand new as well.....his classmates loved Adelyn and all wanted to talk to her. We sort of drew a little bit of a crowd that day, the teacher's kept having to tell the other kids to go back to their table and eat, ha. Adelyn sure enjoyed the attention, but mostly loved seeing her Brother.....We love you Steven and truly enjoyed our lunch date!!

Helping my Daddy

This is how Daddy gets the laundry done - he doesn't want you to be alone playing so he straps you on his chest and heads to the laundry room - you love it, haaaaa. It keeps Adelyn happy and Daddy gets his stuff done without interruptions. Who ever invented this snuggi deal, we THANK you! Mostly Adelyn..........

8 Months Old

You are getting so big - that's what everyone tells you, and you are! Feb. 18 you turned 8 months! And we all must say, what a great past 8 months this has been. You fill this house with such joy! Your Brother just adores you and can't wait to see you everyday after school. Your big Sis Jade thinks you are just so funny and she enjoys feeding you some of her fudge pops and sweets! She also teaches you tricks. As soon as Daddy hits the door from work, your all his! No one can touch you once Daddy is around, he hogs you haa! I am so thankful to wake up each morning and know that my day will be filled with your beautiful smile and hugs! You love eating finger snacks now - cheerios, gerber sticks and so on......your doing so good feeding yourself and NOT choking, thank you so for not ever scaring Mommy, I don't do well with choking lol!! You are also throwing yourself onto your belly a lot and trying to crawl. I'm sure you would have mastered this long ago, but you are not on the ground too much baby :-) so you just take your time, we ALL enjoy you not being able to get into everything just yet haha.

Big girl Car SEAT now

Adelyn has stepped up - her infant car seat can not be used anymore, it only goes up to 20 pounds and Addy is now 20! So Daddy and I went to Babies R Us on Valentine's Day and got Addy her new convertible car seat! It's a Graco - and it's called 'my ride 65' SOOO funny, but it's because this car seat can be used until the child is 65 pounds, so none the less - we won't have to buy another car seat (booster) since this seat will do the job! Adelyn loves it - I think what she loves the most is being able to finally face the front, she can now see Mommy and Daddy while they are driving and the road!! Her seat sits so high up and yes it looks big, but to be honest, it fits better in my SUV than the infant seat! YES, it does....Jade and Steven has a little more arm room on each side now - since her seat is in the middle. Mommy & Daddy were both sad that it was time for this upgrade, just another reminder how FAST Adelyn is growing. She will be 8 months in 2 day :-( I thought Daddy or myself would ball in BRU - but we survived, and now that we see how much Adelyn likes her new seat - we are very happy with this purchase!! It sure looks so cozy! As you can see in the above pics, Addy was already ready to nap in her seat!

Adelyn's first wedding - Anna & Beto

Adelyn went to her first wedding this weekend - our friend's Anna and Beto were married at their home in Spring. Such a pretty wedding, great music, yummy food and delicious cake! Adelyn enjoyed watching the little kids all run around - and she enjoyed watching the dance floor too! Big Brother Steven enjoyed himself as well - of course he ran around with other boys and also showed off some of his dance skills later. Big Sis Jade couldn't be there - she was in Austin for a cheer comp......

A day of LOVE - Valentine's DAY 2010

Well Sunday was Adelyn's first V day! She was too cute - I think her tutu proves it! We sort of had a busy day this V day - our friend Amy was in town from Dubai and we took her to run some errands before the airport - afterwards Daddy and I went to Babies R Us and bought Adelyn her big girl car seat - that's a whole new blog though! For dinner - Ryan and I and the 3 kids went to Chili's - it was pretty late and we just wanted something close to home, it was YUM though and we had a nice time just chit chatting!

Adelyn's first funeral

What a sad milestone - but Adelyn did in fact attend her first funeral in Feb. Ryan's Grandma passed away - she was 95, and such a sweet lady. Adelyn looked so pretty for Grandma and we know she was smiling down at Addy from above! Adelyn was a DOLL....

San Antonio 2010

This past weekend, we headed to San Antonio for Jade's national cheer competition. This was Adelyn's first road trip! We had a great time........and Jade's team placed 4th out of 7 teams, not too bad! Saturday we walked the riverwalk and went to watch Jade's team perform - then we all went to dinner on the riverwalk with some of the team mates and their parents - fun! Sunday we walked the riverwalk mall and riverwalk again - and watched Jade's team do their final performance - we left San Antonio about 6pm. Adelyn was such a good girl - slept most of the time in the car and just enjoyed her time in her stroller on the river. So thanks to Trilogy - we just experienced our first family vacay!
